About Manchester Samagam
Our Mission
Public Statement on Donation Practices
The Samagam charity is committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, security, and regulatory compliance. To support this, we ask that all large donations are made by bank transfer. Bank transfers provide a secure and traceable method of giving, allowing us to verify the source of funds and meet our legal responsibilities under anti–money laundering regulations. This approach helps protect both our donors and the charity by reducing risk and ensuring full accountability.
UK‑registered charities can also offer financial benefits to donating companies. Under HMRC rules, eligible charitable contributions may be deducted when calculating Corporation Tax, enabling businesses to support meaningful social causes while accessing legitimate tax efficiencies.
We also remind all donors—particularly corporate partners—of the importance of carrying out appropriate checks when making significant contributions. Donations must not breach anti‑bribery, fraud, or money‑laundering legislation, and businesses should conduct proportionate due diligence to ensure the legitimacy of the organisations they support.
The Samagam charity deeply values the generosity of its donors and remains committed to ensuring that all contributions are handled responsibly, transparently, and in line with legal and ethical standards.
